Chopawamsic Creek, QMC, VA
Directions from Richmond and points South:
- I-95 North to exit 148
- Proceed East to the gate for MCB Quantico
You will need to have a photo ID to enter base. Be prepared to show an ID for each individual in the
car, although the gate guard may only check the driver’s ID. Tell the gate guard that you are participating in the
Orienteering Meet taking place on base at the Officer Candidate School (OCS).
- Once thru the gate, follow the road for 2.5 miles, until you come to a circle
- Stay in the right lane and bear to the right. DO NOT go around the circle
- At the Stop Sign turn right and immediately bear left over the bridge that crosses the RR tracks
- After crossing the tracks follow road .8 miles. Turn right at the first road and cross back over the RR tracks
- Follow QOC signs to the start area
DO NOT speed on base. You WILL get ticketed.
If for some reason this gate is not open, continue on I-95 North to exit 150A and follow directions below
Directions from Washington D.C. and points North:
- I-95 South to exit 150A
- Follow road to Rt 1. Cross Rt 1 and proceed to MCB Quantico Main Gate

- At 4th traffic light, turn left on to Catlin Ave (street sign is on right side corner)
- Follow road as it turns to the left over a bridge that crosses the RR tracks
- After crossing the tracks follow road .8 mile. Turn right at the first road and cross back over the RR tracks
- Follow QOC signs to the start area
